P V Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win a Silver Medal at the Olympics in its 120-year-old history.
She has made our country proud and she deserves all the accolades our country will shower on her.
Make no mistake, PV Sindhu’s effort in the Olympics is absolutely tremendous. And after her fighting defeat against World No. 1 Carolina Marin, there was praise pouring in from all quarters for the 21-year-old from Secunderabad.

Don’t you dare hang your head in shame.
Don’t you dare shed a tear of regret.
And don’t you even think about apologising.
You said you would go for gold. You said you’d give it your all.
Most of all, you said you’d never give up.
And you didn’t.
In times like these, it’s easy to dwell on what could’ve been.
To remember what we’ve lost.
But we forget that we’ve gained so much. That you have given us somuch.
No Indian had ever made it to the Olympic badminton final before you did.
